hello. sorry for not blogging about my SAJC orientation. i had been coming home very very late with dreadful fatigue. all right, let me blog about my wonderful orientation in SAJC that i'll never ever forget!

1st day, we assembled at the cultural centre, which was this huge auditorium. i was assigned to Orientation Group 17. after everyone came into the CC, we went for some icebreaking games. did the usual stuff like introducing ourselves and playing some games. and we got to know each other a little better. oh ya, a video was also played in the CC. this video was the introduction of the 5 kingdoms(aka houses). i kinda forgot what was in the video. the 5 kingdoms were : Savergo, Armarillo, Iroxa, Namella and Tatsura. If i've spelt the kingdoms wrongly, please forgive me. hahaha. anyway i was in kingdom Iroxa! there was also the principal's talk and talks on the various subjects being offered. well i did get to know much more about the subjects. later all the OGs in Iroxa had a gathering, where everyone learnt the cheers of Iroxa. and after that, my OG taught of a really interesting cheer, which helped us greatly during the Space Odyssey(some game where u have to run to different stations to do fun activities). we scored full marks for our cheer at every station! i'm just so extremely proud of my OG.

we also had to do this mass dance. everyone had to have a partner of the opposite sex. and each couple was to do this Lindy Hop dance. it's some kind of dance under the Jazz genre. we had to turn round and round and it was really confusing. haha. but everyone still managed to do the dance in the end. there were also mass games in the hall and i had to do the forfeit 2 times because of my slow reaction. haha. 1st forfeit was dancing to the song Sexyback and 2nd forfeit was dancing the Chicken Dance. haha! indeed, i enjoyed myself very very much. we were dismissed from school at 6.30pm.

the 2nd day, my OG bonded much more with each other. everyone talked to each other a lot. we started the day off with a kingdom gathering. we practised our cheers again. argh. i can't really remember what happened on the 2nd day. haha. i'll fast forward to the later part of the day. we had to compete with all the other OGs in this game called The Trial. it was something like Space odyssey, but more physical, wet and fun. at our first station, we had to play "Dog and Bone" but with a twist. there was this mat on the ground and there was water and soap on it. so it was extremely slippery. then, everyone had to be blindfolded. when the station master called out a number, the people appointed to that number had to CRAWL or ROLL on the mat to find the bone. to make things much easier, each OG had 5 navigators to help the blindfolded players. my OG won by 1 point. haha. At the 2nd station, we competed with a super enthu OG. there was this row of chairs with water and flour on every chair. each OG had to start on either ends of the row of chairs. at any time, there was only to be 1 person from each OG at the row of chairs. to progress, the person had to have his/her butt on the chairs and slide towards the other end. whenever both persons from both teams collided, they had to play "Scissors Paper Stone". the winner would stay and be able to progress while the loser had to get out. during my turn, the guy from the other OG collided with me really really hard and i lost the scissors paper stone. haha. on my 2nd turn, i think i collided with him a little too hard and i got off with a warning. haha. however i won the scissors paper stone thing and managed to win a few more before reaching the end of the row. well at least i scored a point!! our butts were all white at the end. at the 3rd station, we played "Battleships". it's really similar to the boardgame. as for the bombs, we used water bombs. haha. so we got wet. we couldn't complete the 4th game because there was rain and lightning :( . so we spent the time working for the Finale, which commenced on the 3rd day. when everyone was dismissed, my OG and i went to plaza sing for dinner at burger king, after which we went to spot lite to find materials for our kingdom's mascot. i thought we were really rowdy at spot lite and everyone there were staring at us. hahaha but never mind, we didn't do anything wrong! we left at 9.30pm and i reached home at 10.20pm.

all right, i think i'm running out of time. i shall blog about the 3rd day(the best day) another time, in much more detail.
