hello. saturday was a great night. a wonderful experience at the fully-packed national stadium. the atmosphere was immutable and to witness singapore triumph over malaysia at the very last gasp was priceless.

school's great as usual. had my math test today on partial fractions and i think i should be able to pass :D. well i failed my 1st econs test so to fail math now would be a catastrophe. anyway, GP was crazy again, except that miss zhou wasn't in a very good mood. during the group presentation, Gabriel became mad again and started making funny faces to make the presenters from other groups laugh. it all started when i acted super enthu while listening to the 1st group present.

physics tutorial was as fun as usual, with mr yuen making up hilarious examples and illustrations. and i still don't get the new 2-d kinematics. the new formulae and how to apply them are just very confusing. and physics test on thursday?! man 1st 3 months of jc isn't a honeymoon at all. i'm definitely gonna fail the physics test. and because of this upcoming physics test, i don't think i'll be able to watch singapore vs thailand at the national stadium because of severe time constraint! sorry keith.

after sch my class and i went to the nearby macdonalds at potong pasir for lunch. had a great time. Gabriel wanted to take jonathan's fries but i dunno what got into his head or what happened to his sight. he went to grab the mayonaisse on jonathan's tray, mistaking it for the fries. then his fingers were yellowish-white and all sticky. we laughed like crazy again.

then we went to orchard. first to far east plaza, then to ngee ann city, then to taka, then to wisma atria, then back home. i'm dead tired now and it's gonna be a very long day tomorrow. school will end at 5.30pm and class chalet later at night.

good night. i need more sleep and brain cells(for physics).

okay these jokes are like too stupid, but my class(especially Jonathan and I) were laughing at them for 2 days. my class is fun! oh ya. yesterday, we came back to class after our 30 min break. then while we were chatting, Jonathan pointed to Gabriel's pants and asked," Why got dog on your pants?" hahaha. then we noticed this colourless stain(?) of water that dripped on his pants when he went to the toilet that really had the shape of a dog. there was even the tail! it got all of us laughing the entire 3 GP periods.

SCHOOL IS FUN! i love my class. my class is so bonded and happening. and we never fail to laugh in any lecture/tutorial. hahaha.

yesterday during GP, i was laughing my ass off till i couldn't even read out the passage. jonathan, weirong and gabriel were like making me laugh. it all started when we started to do stupid things in class. halfway during lesson, weirong suddenly started to sing some macdonalds song that really made jonathan and i laugh. then we made fun of jeff when he said that he couldn't see the screen clearly. then when it was gabriel's turn to read, he read as though he was some general with gusto.

also in physics yesterday, mr yuen was telling us how things like godzilla are impossible to exist because of the bone structure. then he started to digress and explain what it means to "become x times bigger". "firstly, for one to grow x times bigger, one will have to be x times taller, have one's cross-sectional area x square times bigger, and volume x cube times bigger." mr yuen used HIMSELF as the example and explained to us how big he would be if he grew 50 times bigger. then jonathan suddenly said, "that means his dick'll be DAMN BIG!". all right, that's kinda gross. but everyone was laughing like crazy. hahahaha.

and today, while we were in the students' centre playing Taboo, i had to guess the noun weirong was trying to describe to me. he said, "what do you use to wipe your nose when you sneeze?". the answer was tissue paper. and while all my guesses like hankerchief, cloth, sleeve were wrong, i don't know why i said DIAPER. everyone started to laugh like crazy and when i finally realized that i said something really stupid, i laughed too! hahahahaa.

and chinese B class is super slack. all we do is just watch chinese movies, but with chinese subtitles only. and we watched this meaningful movie today about a very poor boy with great talent at drawing who got sick and died(i think. didn't really understand). however, i was laughing here and there because the title of the movie was really stupid - The Dull-Ice Flower. like WHAT IS THAT?!

OH. and ARSENAL WON!!! hahaha. thanks to van persie's equaliser and henry's last-gasp winner! personally my best ever time watching football.

finally i have the time to blog. school life for me is getting better as i didn't really enjoy myself the 2nd week. received my timetable for this coming week already and it's weird. school finishes at 3pm on monday, 5.30pm on tuesday(like what the hell?), 2pm on wednesday and thursday, and 12pm on friday.

anyway, i like my class! during our very 1st GP tutorial, we had to do some ice-breaking. we were divided into 4 groups. we were given a slip of paper with an occupation/person word on it. we then had to play the role of the occupation/person we were given. we were to imagine that we were on a hot-air balloon and the hot-air balloon was falling down due to excessive weight. so 1 person had to drop off to save the others. by playing our roles, each of us had to argue and prove to everyone else that we had to stay. the theme for my group was 'family' and i had to play the role of the daughter. hahaha. i didn't know what to say so i just said that "with me, singapore will be able to have more babies in the future. thus, singapore will thrive in everyway and potentially reach a higher economic level!". i forgot what i said later on but i know i said something stupid. but at least i wasn't voted to be removed from the hot-air balloon!

then during math tutorial, we had to elect a math rep. then Gabriel suddenly nominated Dawn to be the math rep. hahaha. and then when the teacher ask why her, Gabriel said "because she has colourful braces." i was laughing like crazy! there's like no link between a math rep and colourful braces. hahahahaha. and Dawn was like "*HUH?*". anyway, Dawn was still elected the math rep. hahaha.

all right. i gtg for my afternoon nap. arsenal against man utd tonight. go arsenal!!

got to know my class a bit better today. and so far they're great. more bonded and together not as divided as my OG. anyway i find GP kinda interesting. but it's really difficult! so much to read up on. and even worse, u don't know what to read. as it was the 1st GP tutorial today, we all had to do some ice-breaking. good fun! and my classmates are quite a humorous bunch.

lit was interesting today too. my lit class is kinda small, and happening. took very little time to bond with each other. we had to analyse this poem today i think my group did a pretty good job.

didn't do much in school today. had lit, physics and math lectures straight from 8am. and i don't think lit's for me. i don't seem to grasp the subject well. and my intepretations of the unseen are always wrong! how how how. i should've taken h1 chem.

and the pink guava juice at the sajc canteen rocks. i never fail to drink at least a cup of it daily. let me describe to u this very very exotic drink. it's a drink that has freshly blended pink guavas and ice(so it has a texture of a slurpee). the drink is also served with aloe vera and peaches on the surface. really a refreshing drink.

will be having PE tomorrow. i'm super unfit now. haven't exercised in weeks!

lectures can be boring...............................

i'm starting to like econs! it's a really practical subject and the econs lecturer is quite funny. i don't know why, but i'm always wide awake during econs lectures. in contrast, i'm like always falling asleep during math lectures.

haven't been mixing with my OG these few days. i don't know why! i always can't find them. and today's 1 of the few days that i don't have anything on. so here i am at home early!

yay i got posted to the course of my choice. and my new class is 07S23.

school was fun today and i had familiar urges of falling asleep during the lectures. yep. it happens during this time every year, where my body clock isn't conditioned to waking up at 6.10am in the morning. anyway, GP seems really scary. so much to read up on, so much to write. 500-800 words per essay! wow.

went to vivocity(about 8 stops away from potong pasir mrt station) today with Calvin, Ryanna, Stephanie, Junyi, Jerome and Elysia to buy a birthday present for Zen. haha we ended up buying something from Toys 'R' Us. actually, i still don't know what we bought. Well i'll check tomorrow.

there will be Physics and Math lectures and PE tomorrow. good bye.

hello. let me now blog about the 3rd and final day of my orientation in SAJC!

we started the day off by singing the national anthem and the normal standard procedures. after that, we attended the Chapel for worship. well in SAJC, everyone has to attend the Chapel on fridays(i dunno if it's every friday or every other friday), excluding the muslims.

after chapel, we went back to our classes to submit our registration forms. i was still contemplating whether to take H1 chem or H1 lit. in the end, i finally decided to choose H1 lit. i'll still attend some chem lectures to see if chem's better for me.

we then went to the hall to do CIP(Community Involvement Programme). everyone split up into pairs and each pair had to paint a glass cup. all the work would be sold at some fare in late january. hehe i feel proud that i've helped the less fortunate!

then, we all went to the cultural centre for mass games. the theme was "Dare or Dare". each kingdom was to send 1 person during each round. in the 1st round, the people had to act out 3 skids. it was really hilarious. 2nd round, they were all blindfolded and they had to use their hands to find hidden chocolate bars in a huge box. in the box, there were all sorts of stuff including marshmellows, sand, grass, oranges and cans. in the 3rd round(the last round), they were blindfolded and had to dance to a song. hahaha. seeing them dance blindfolded was just funny.

each kingdom was then separated to different places in the school for their finale preparations. we rehearsed our kingdom cheers, painted a lot of stuff purple(because purple's the colour for my kingdom) and dressed the kingdom mascot up.

after dinner, everyone went to the CC for the Finale. each person in my kingdom was given purple-painted cans with some sand inside so that we could shake them and make some noise. it was also part of the 'best kingdom identity' competition. and so we were shouting like crazy throughout the entire Finale. then came the 'best kingdom cheer' competition. and we won! haha. they then showed a video compilation of the winning moments of Team SAJC. great video, especially the rugby part!

everyone then proceeded to the hall for 'Disco Dance'. everyone basically had to dance to the music. haha. despite the growing fatigue in everyone, no one looked tired at all. everyone was jumping here and there and enjoying themselves. great fun, just great fun. the 'Disco Dance' lasted about 1 hour and finished at 9pm.

when everyone was dismissed, my OG went to take pictures and do somemore cheers. then we finished off with our kingdom cheer! we left at 9.30pm for our OG supper.

since the macdonalds at potong pasir was extremely crowded, we took an mrt down to Boon Keng and went to another macdonalds. we played cards and had supper and i had to leave early(because i live at pasir ris, argh). so i left at 11.05pm.

and this is how i go home from sajc. haha. it takes at least 45 min to get home. first, i'll take an mrt from potong pasir down to kovan. then, i'll walk to the bus stop and take bus 81. when i get off, i'll walk for about 7 minutes home.

i reached home at 12am.

all i can say is that, i loved the SAJC orientation and my OG! thank you OGL xiaoxuan for everything!

hello. sorry for not blogging about my SAJC orientation. i had been coming home very very late with dreadful fatigue. all right, let me blog about my wonderful orientation in SAJC that i'll never ever forget!

1st day, we assembled at the cultural centre, which was this huge auditorium. i was assigned to Orientation Group 17. after everyone came into the CC, we went for some icebreaking games. did the usual stuff like introducing ourselves and playing some games. and we got to know each other a little better. oh ya, a video was also played in the CC. this video was the introduction of the 5 kingdoms(aka houses). i kinda forgot what was in the video. the 5 kingdoms were : Savergo, Armarillo, Iroxa, Namella and Tatsura. If i've spelt the kingdoms wrongly, please forgive me. hahaha. anyway i was in kingdom Iroxa! there was also the principal's talk and talks on the various subjects being offered. well i did get to know much more about the subjects. later all the OGs in Iroxa had a gathering, where everyone learnt the cheers of Iroxa. and after that, my OG taught of a really interesting cheer, which helped us greatly during the Space Odyssey(some game where u have to run to different stations to do fun activities). we scored full marks for our cheer at every station! i'm just so extremely proud of my OG.

we also had to do this mass dance. everyone had to have a partner of the opposite sex. and each couple was to do this Lindy Hop dance. it's some kind of dance under the Jazz genre. we had to turn round and round and it was really confusing. haha. but everyone still managed to do the dance in the end. there were also mass games in the hall and i had to do the forfeit 2 times because of my slow reaction. haha. 1st forfeit was dancing to the song Sexyback and 2nd forfeit was dancing the Chicken Dance. haha! indeed, i enjoyed myself very very much. we were dismissed from school at 6.30pm.

the 2nd day, my OG bonded much more with each other. everyone talked to each other a lot. we started the day off with a kingdom gathering. we practised our cheers again. argh. i can't really remember what happened on the 2nd day. haha. i'll fast forward to the later part of the day. we had to compete with all the other OGs in this game called The Trial. it was something like Space odyssey, but more physical, wet and fun. at our first station, we had to play "Dog and Bone" but with a twist. there was this mat on the ground and there was water and soap on it. so it was extremely slippery. then, everyone had to be blindfolded. when the station master called out a number, the people appointed to that number had to CRAWL or ROLL on the mat to find the bone. to make things much easier, each OG had 5 navigators to help the blindfolded players. my OG won by 1 point. haha. At the 2nd station, we competed with a super enthu OG. there was this row of chairs with water and flour on every chair. each OG had to start on either ends of the row of chairs. at any time, there was only to be 1 person from each OG at the row of chairs. to progress, the person had to have his/her butt on the chairs and slide towards the other end. whenever both persons from both teams collided, they had to play "Scissors Paper Stone". the winner would stay and be able to progress while the loser had to get out. during my turn, the guy from the other OG collided with me really really hard and i lost the scissors paper stone. haha. on my 2nd turn, i think i collided with him a little too hard and i got off with a warning. haha. however i won the scissors paper stone thing and managed to win a few more before reaching the end of the row. well at least i scored a point!! our butts were all white at the end. at the 3rd station, we played "Battleships". it's really similar to the boardgame. as for the bombs, we used water bombs. haha. so we got wet. we couldn't complete the 4th game because there was rain and lightning :( . so we spent the time working for the Finale, which commenced on the 3rd day. when everyone was dismissed, my OG and i went to plaza sing for dinner at burger king, after which we went to spot lite to find materials for our kingdom's mascot. i thought we were really rowdy at spot lite and everyone there were staring at us. hahaha but never mind, we didn't do anything wrong! we left at 9.30pm and i reached home at 10.20pm.

all right, i think i'm running out of time. i shall blog about the 3rd day(the best day) another time, in much more detail.

happy new year to everyone. damn, why does time fly so quickly? before i know it, i will be lying on my deathbed. haha!

went to east coast park with the usual primary sch friends today. we initially planned to roller blade, but all the roller blades at the bicycle kiosk were super smelly. argh. so we decided to cycle in the end. anyway it wasn't that bad. $6 for 2 hours. we cycled along the entire east coast park and all the way to changi beach and back. TIRING! and finally, the sun was out. i hope i managed to get a bit of tan. i'm like so fair now.

anyway, school's starting in 2 days' time. i wonder how it will be like. i'm really looking forward to orientation.

i guess i'm too tired to blog anymore. good bye! it's been a great 2006. hopefully 2007 will be better. once again, happy new year everyone!
