my blog has a new look! yay. special thanks to rachel for helping me. it's the last day of the holidays now. i've not done all my homework, i've not revised(okay, maybe a little bit just now). i definitely have not used my holiday time productively. never mind. it's the world cup fever!

germany and argentina are through to the quarter finals. all along, germany has had quite an easy road, of which they've performed well. argentina has been doing great all the while. who do i think will win in the quarter final between germany and argentina? i really don't know. it'd certainly be a very tough fight. the tension has now started to rise in germany!

BRAZIL will face ghana. certainly not a walk-over for brazil. ghana isn't a weak team at all. if brazil win, they'll face either spain or france. DAMN.

all right i got to go. good bye :)

hello. it's 11.30am now... i just woke up. i'm struggling to find something to do from now till 12.30pm(as the world cup highlights will be shown on tv at 12.30pm). haha. so erm, of course, i've come to blog!

this year, after my O levels, i would very much like to go for a holiday! and i mean, a long holiday to somewhere not near singapore. i would love to experience winter once again as i've forgotten how it feels like already. haha. the last time i experienced winter was in primary 4 when i went to USA. didn't had the maturity to savour the weather back then though. all i had in my mind was roller coasters, entertainment and more roller coasters.

let me elaborate about the places i would love to go.

1)back to Los Angeles, but on a free-and-easy holiday this time. no tours. the last time i went there, i really wanted to go to the Magic Mountain theme park to sit all the thrill rides. you don't get to sit those kinds of roller coasters here in singapore. sadly, we went on a tour and we visited places like the Universal Studios, Disney Land etc.

2)LONDON. London seems like a great place! the culture, the city, everything! and yeah. if i go to London at the end of this year, Arsenal Football Club's new stadium, the Emirates Stadium, located at Ashburton Grove(go check it out on Google Earth), would be open! heh. a great time to check out a wonder made by man! haha. i would love to go to an Arsenal match too.

3)A cruise(but not on Superstar Virgo again). i love holidays on cruises. it's really relaxing. a cruise to Alaska would be splendid, only if my family has enough cash haha.

4)Mount Everest! haha. my school's planning to go there at the end of the year. but only to the base camp. the peak would be far too dangerous. however, the price wouldn't be nice. haha. it would surely cost a lot! i hope my edusave money would lower the cost.

well, that's it. the places i would love to go at the end of the year. bye.

Yay. The world cup's starting today! My heart's with Brazil man. They play the cleanest and most beautiful football. No dirty tricks (except for some play-acting during the 2002 world cup from Rivaldo), no vicious tackles and no foul language. That's Bazil! They play football because they love football.

Okay now let me talk about something not related to football. Haha. I had quite a crazy day yesterday (Thursday). Palai and I wanted to watch xmen 3 at Shaw bugis cinema (as xmen3 was being shown at a good time - 5.15pm). So we took a train down to bugis. Unfortunately, we didn't know where the Shaw bugis cinema was. We then went to ask around for directions. And to our tough luck, a man we asked gave us a wrong direction. He told us to keep walking straight from the bugis mrt exit C and then turn left. Blindly, we did as we were told. After about 10 minutes of walking, we realized that we were reaching a block of flats. Now, we knew that we were really lost. After considering taking a taxi for about a minute, we finally did. We flagged a cab and told him that we wanted to go to the Shaw bugis cinema. To our astonishment, the cinema was just about 100m in front of us. We also had to pay an extra $2. It was pure stupidity.

So now, what we had to do was just to purchase our xmen3 tickets and get to the theatre as the time already was 5.10pm. Sadly, we didn't and never knew that we were at the wrong cinema. The lady at the counter said, "There isn't any xmen3 movie being shown at 5.15pm here. It is only being shown at the Shaw bugis cinema.” I felt my gut burst. WHAT?! We were actually at SHAW TOWERS cinema. Haha. I thought we had already come to the correct place. Then, I asked the lady at the counter where was the Shaw bugis cinema located and she replied, saying, “it’s at bugis junction.". I felt a pang of frustration. Bugis junction was the place we were initially at. We knew we had to rush back to bugis junction to catch the movie in time. So what did we do next? We ran! Haha.

We reached the Shaw bugis ticketing counter about 10 minutes late. And again to our touch luck, the xmen3 tickets were not being sold anymore as we were too late. ARGH! We then decided to watch the omen, which was being shown at 7.35pm. So we went into bugis junction for a walk. As we seldom come to town (the most palpable reason to the confusion earlier in this entry), we found bugis junction like a maze. Wherever we walked, we always came to the same place. In conclusion, we were walking in circles.

Then, it was time for dinner. We went to the directory to confirm where to eat. Palai wanted to eat at KFC. I had no qualms. We went to the basement (as stated in the directory). Strangely, what we only saw in the basement was a huge arcade cum entertainment centre. I hate going to these places (except for LAN gaming centers). You feel as though you're in a pandemonium. The cacophony of sound effects coming from hundreds of gaming boxes could somehow, in my opinion, be used as a form of torture as it drives you mad! It’s too damaging to the ears.

We later found out that we went to the wrong basement. Haha. Finally after dinner, we went to watch the omen. The movie wasn't as scary as it seemed in the trailer, like most horror films. Anyway, I feel that the omen is more suspenseful then horrifying. It makes u think, and thinks, and think. It was great though.

And I’ve still not watched xmen3. Haha. What can I say about yesterday? One simple word - crazy.

gracias, senor(spanish). the world cup's going to start this friday! oh yeah!! in my point of view, this year's world cup will be the most exciting among the rest of the world cups. why? there're so many contendors! Brazil, England, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Italy, France and Holland. woooohh! and i predict that a few of the more unknown countries will go far like Ivory Coast. Ivory Coast has convinced me that they are indeed a very strong team, judging from the way they played in the Africans Cup. They have great defenders like Emmanuel Eboue and Kolo Toure. hahaha. they play very well as a team and who knows, they may even clinch the World Cup title with the kind of class they have!

as usual, i'm supporting none other than Brazil, not because they won the previous world cup. in 1998(the year i started watching football), roberto carlos's god-like banana freekick caught my attention. i began to wonder who was this great player and which country was he playing for. after watching even more matches, it was my nature to support brazil. back then, brazil had players like rivaldo and a young ronaldo. it was such joy to watch brazil play their free-flowing football. it was football at its finest. unfortunately, they lost 3-0 to france in the finals. and in the year 2002, i started to love football. i was addicted to the world cup. this time, ronaldo was at his prime. his unmatched pace, dazzling dribbles and brilliant finishing made him one of my favourite players. brazil clearly deserved to win the world cup this time. a young ronaldinho was developing back then. no superlatives will be able to describe the world cup this year. i am absolutely sure that the country that wins the world cup would deserve it. also, more legends will be born, just like ronaldo and ronaldinho.

P.S WATCH CESC FABREGAS OF SPAIN. HE'S ALREADY A LIVING LEGEND.

hello. it is thursday already. times is passing so quickly that it is JUNE already. wow. 1 half of the year has already passed and i still feel that we are living in the month of april, according to my body's clock. school today was fun. we only did a physics worksheet during physics lesson(as mrs oon wasn't feeling well and therefore was on medical leave). and for chemistry? woooo yeah! practical for 2 hours straight. how great. i love practicals. firstly chemistry practicals are very practical. haha. and it's very fascinating to observe the reactions of the various metals, salts, acids etc. however, whenever we do chemistry practicals, the laboratory will be EXTREMELY stuffy. i mean it! you won't realise that you're drenched with sweat(because you're too engrossed in your experiment).

ok. that took up about 10 minutes of my time. yay. blogging's my escape from boredom!
