and so i'm back from kuala lumpur, malaysia. actually it has been 2 days already. let me blog about my vacation.

the trip was average. didn't do much and experienced a lot of bad luck, or rather, bad circumstances(if you don't believe in luck!). and the air at malaysia is really toxic. there's smog everywhere and those locally made motorcycles produce this black exhaust gas. really really asphyxiating. throughout the entire vacation, i had eye irritation, a runny nose and a dry cough.

on the first day, the coach was delayed for about 45 minutes. a bad omen huh? indeed. the coach broke down in johor and when it was finally able to operate again, the air-con belt or sth broke. SO, we couldn't enjoy any air-con from johor ALL THE WAY to kuala lumpur. just imagine, sitting at the upper deck of a coach, with windows that cannot be opened for 4 hours under the scorching sun. i was perspiring profusely and by the time we reached KL, i was drenched with perspiration, all sticky and lethargic. definitely the worst bus experience i have ever had. looking on the brighter side, we were given "business class" tickets for the return trip. so i guess that neutralized the horrid experience.

i hurried to the shower once we entered our hotel room. and after that, we went for a walk. oh ya, i stayed at the Royale Bintang hotel. a 4-star hotel situated at a very very busy street. we went to KFC for lunch and gosh, the KFC at malaysia is much more delicious than singapore's. the chicken's bigger, juicier and more tender. after lunch, we went to this huge shopping center. really huge indeed to the extent that there were 'zones' that categorized all the shops in the shopping center. blue zone, yellow zone, red zone, green zone. really confusing. and my goodness, people are actually allowed to smoke inside that shopping center! a really dumb idea to me. we then walked back to the hotel and rested till dinner time.

we walked down to another street(that looked more like a backalley) for dinner. we went to this famous restaurant. and the place was really really filthy. the ground was all wet and there was puke everywhere from all the drunk people. and i saw this guy who had his head hanging out of a car window. the was vomit all over the window and he was passed out or sth. quite scary. after dinner, my bro and i walked to 7-11, planning to get a slurpee or sth. the 7-11 store was deserted. not a single soul was inside(except the cashier). we then saw the nutella bottles. the chocolate was solidified and there was DARK YELLOW oil at the surface. like YUCK. expired nutella. and they're still selling it? really shows how seldom people go to that 7-11 outlet. after seeing what's in nutella, i swear that i'm never gonna consume nutella again. well, we decided not to get our slurpee.

the next day, we had to wake up early because we were going up to genting! i've never been there before. we purchased our bus tickets at the bus terminal. the trip up to genting was great. no breakdowns and really comfortable seats. i slept throughout!

at genting, we sat on the cable car up. great scenary and i loved the weather. the only other place where i experienced cold weather was at USA(when i was 10 years old). and genting's extremely crowded. i had burger king for lunch and we went to the theme park.

at the theme park, we sat all the thrill rides. i must say that the genting theme park is over-rated. the rides weren't scary at all and the queues were way too long. we had to wait like 20 minutes to sit each ride. nonetheless, i still enjoyed myself very much. we left genting at around 7.30pm.

we went to this steak house called "The Ship" when we arrived at KL. the best steak i have ever had! real tender and juicy meat. and the tomato ketchup there is heavenly! a great way to sum up a great day.

we spent the entire day at this gigantic mall called "Berjaya Times Square" the next day. didn't do much as i'm not good at shopping. my bro and i pretty much followed everyone around.

for dinner, we went to another hotel. it was a special occasion as we were going to see our childhood friends. been about 7 years since i've seen them. dinner wasn't very good. after dinner, we were brought to a pub and there was a live band playing. the live band played good music. not those boring indie rock. it was pure, hard rock! mostly oldies like deep purple, rolling stones, santana and bon jovi. and i realized that the dummer for that band is the drummer for Muse. i don't know what the drummer was doing there, perhaps he is a session drummer too. anyway Muse's coming to singapore soon so maybe they went to Malaysia first? i really don't know but it was definitely him! the pub was smoky, like all pubs were and my nose felt nothing but worse!

we went to sunway pyramid the next day. my bro and i couldn't wait to ice-skate. i haven't gone ice-skating since sec 1. we had another bad circumstance. the ice-skating ring had this christmas performance. argh! so we couldn't go ice-skating in the end. curse it! we ended up watching Eragon at the cinema. and Eragon's the worst adventure movie i've ever watched. the movie's cinematography is no where near lord of the rings or harry potter. the storyline's quite stupid too. we should've watch this locally made movie "Cicak Man". Cicak in malay means lizard. hahaha. the movie's about this guy who had a lizard climb into his coffee. totally oblivious of it, he drank the coffee and became Cicak Man. his objective was to battle some professor or something. well it sounds stupid, but i think i would have enjoyed it much more than Eragon.

for dinner, we went back to "The Ship" and were greatly satisfied with the service and the FOOD. totally juicy and tender meat with really tasty gravy. argh. i'm craving for it now.

the last day, we left for singapore at 9am, in this "business class" coach. the seats were made of leather and each seat had a screen. the headphones were SONY. wooohooo. we could watch movies man. i ended up watching Scary Movie 4 and Ultraviolet. kinda outdated huh.

we arrived in singapore at 2.15pm. fresh air once again. and i'm sorry that i had to leave my dog alone. my grandmother told me that he cried every night. i feel so guilty.

and i think i've nothing else to blog about my vacation. and i didn't manage to buy my school bag and a pair of shoes because i feel that queensway's still the best! haha.
