now that my prelims are over, i'll blog.

my prelims were disastrous. i became sick right in the middle of my on-going prelims and hence became more lethargic. i could not absorb what i learnt or revised as much as i normally would and also occasionally had trouble trying to remember certain key points(especially in the chem paper. damn it).

bah. i shall not give any more excuses. what's the use of crying over spilt milk. i've been in deep thought over the past week about where i would go after my Os - JC or Poly. Well, i think i should be realistic now. If i really can't do it, i really can't do it. What is the use of going to an elite school? i would only have to struggle in order to cope and be bombarded with adverse effects, like depression, exhaustion and low morale. I would not have enough time for my leisure pursuits. Life would be meaningless. Tuition would help. However, i would only be lying to myself about my capability. What is the use of aceing examinations with the aid of tuition? Ultimately, examinations are meant to gauge one's proficiency. Yes i know, tuition would make one have better qualifications, which would lead to higher-pay jobs. However, what makes one so sure that one would be able to handle an occupation requiring exceptional qualifications if one has been undergoing tuition one's entire life? By failing this way, it only shows that one is incapable and has been lying to one's self. So, does tuition really help? Therefore, why go to a good school when you are factually not meant for it? Let's be realistic here.

I think i should pursue in an area where my interest lies. I personally do not think i'm suited for JC. I want to live an enjoyable and meaningful life. I'd rather do something that i like with a lower pay than do something i do not like with a higher pay. JC or polytechnic? i'd have to go with poly for now.
